It depends on the piece. Some earrings are worn with a single piercing, while others require two. Each piercing indicates where it is worn (helix, flat, conch, rook, daith, or tragus). Biarritz is a faux conch piercing: it is worn without a piercing.

Our bars are designed for healed ears and fit the majority of ears. They measure 6 mm for gold and 8 mm for silver. If your cartilage is thicker than average, the bar may seem a little short: if in doubt, check with your piercer.

This is not recommended. A piercing bar is 1.2 mm thick, compared to 0.8 mm for an earring. An earring is not designed for this use and its butterfly backs are less comfortable.

Above all, a piercing hole is wider than an earring post: if it accommodates an earring, it may tighten and you may no longer be able to put a piercing back in later.

Yes. Our gold earrings are made of 18-karat gold-plated titanium. During plating, the butterfly back stays on the post: the small part of the post hidden under the butterfly, behind the earlobe, may therefore show the bare titanium, which is darker.

This is not a manufacturing defect: it affects neither the quality of the plating nor comfort, and titanium remains hypoallergenic. The visible part of your jewellery is fully gold.

IP (Ion Plating) is a technique that bonds a thin layer of gold to the jewelry through ionization in a vacuum. More durable than traditional plating, it adheres better to the metal and wears down much more slowly: your jewelry retains its golden color for much longer, even with everyday wear.
